Congressman Tom Kean Jr. has announced the opening of submissions for the 2026 Congressional Art Competition. The competition is open to high school students living in New Jersey’s Seventh Congressional District and is sponsored by the Congressional Institute as part of the U.S. House of Representatives’ official art program.

This year’s theme, “Celebrating America’s 250 Years,” aligns with the nationwide observance of the country’s 250th anniversary. Students are encouraged to create artwork that marks this milestone and reflects on America’s history, culture, and achievements.

“I am incredibly impressed with the creativity and talent of the students across our district,” said Congressman Kean. “Art has always been a powerful medium to celebrate what makes our nation great, and I look forward to seeing how this year’s student artists bring America’s 250th Anniversary to life through their work.”

The deadline for submissions is April 1, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Further details about guidelines and submission procedures can be found on Congressman Kean’s website.
