Congressman Tom Kean, who represents New Jersey’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed a range of legislative priorities on his social media account, including support for organized labor, rural broadband expansion, and drone safety.
On December 11, 2025, Kean stated his backing for labor rights: “Today I supported the Protect America’s Workforce Act. New Jersey has been built by the skill of organized labor. Thomas Kean Jr., age 54 and a resident of Westfield who was born in Livingston in 1968, began representing New Jersey’s 7th district in Congress after succeeding Tom Malinowski in 2023. Before his current role in Congress, he served in both chambers of New Jersey’s legislature—first as a member of the General Assembly from 2001 to 2003 and then as a state senator from 2008 to 2022. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College.
