(June 6, 2025) LEBANON BOROUGH, NJ – Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. announced a significant financial return to the residents of New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District. His office has facilitated the recovery of over $20 million for constituents since January 2023.
Kean and his casework team have resolved more than 3,781 cases involving federal agencies such as the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Internal Revenue Service, and the Social Security Administration. A notable success involved Wharton Arts in Berkeley Heights, which recovered over $900,000 through the Employee Retention Credit with assistance from Kean’s office.
Wharton Arts is recognized as New Jersey’s largest independent non-profit performing arts education center and serves over 2,000 students across various programs. The organization sought help from Kean’s office after facing delays with ERC claims filed in October 2023. The support provided enabled Wharton Arts to secure necessary funds.
“My office has reached a major milestone of securing over $20 million in casework returns for residents of New Jersey’s 7th District,” stated Congressman Tom Kean, Jr., highlighting the impact on families and organizations like Wharton Arts. He emphasized that effective casework can significantly benefit communities.
Gina Caruso, Executive Director of Wharton Arts, expressed gratitude towards Congressman Kean and his team: “We received the money for our claims, which will now save Wharton Arts and help us to make plans for the future.”
