Congressman Tom Kean, representing New Jersey’s 7th district since 2023, shared several updates via social media on May 23, 2025. His posts covered a range of topics from Memorial Day observances to tax policy and constituent services.
In a post dated May 23, 2025, Congressman Kean reflected on the upcoming Memorial Day and his team’s participation in the Morris County Board of Commissioner’s annual Memorial Day Observance Ceremony. He stated that “With Memorial Day approaching, my team had the honor of attending the Morris County Board of Commissioner’s annual Memorial Day Observance Ceremony. This year, 16 local veterans were recognized and awarded the Morris County Distinguished Military Service Medal.”

He noted that “I have consistently been clear with every leader in Washington, DC; I will not vote for any tax package that does not fix SALT. I stood firm, even if it meant at times standing alone. With this House Reconciliation bill, we secured $40,000 in State and Local Tax deductibility.”
Additionally, Congressman Kean announced upcoming joint mobile office hours scheduled for the following Wednesday at Mendham Township Town Hall. He informed constituents that “Next Wednesday, join Team Kean and the office of Assemblyman Barranco at the Mendham Township Town Hall. Our staff will be available to assist with federal or state casework inquiries such as passport renewals, IRS issues.”
