Sarah Davenport, a former Hillsborough High School star, and her current team, the East Stroudsburg Warriors, were narrowly defeated 2-1 by the Adelphi Panthers in their NCAA Division II softball contest on Saturday, March 14 at noon.
The contest at Creekview Park marked their first meeting against the Panthers this season.
Davenport tossed seven innings, allowing two earned runs, while striking out 12 and walking three.
The Warriors are set to face Adelphi again at Creekview Park at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 14 for their next matchup.
