Somerset County 4-H issued the following announcement.

Somerset County 4-H was excited to host the first annual New Jersey State 4-H Foods Day event on April 9, 2022.

4-H club members from Burlington Hunterdon, Monmouth, Somerset, and Union counties participated in this culinary day of learning and fun. The hands-on day included workshops on conventional vs organic foods, cake decorating and table setting as well as a Skill-a-Thon and competitions in Jeopardy and a quick culinary cookoff. The secret ingredient in the culinary cookoff was a banana. Members were creative and talented in their dishes. Great job to all participants!

A special thank you to Harry Brochinsky, Somerset County 4-H volunteer and Master Chef club leader and the volunteers who presented and assisted with the workshops.
