The Center for Great Expectations issued the following announcement.
Open for business. South Ward Wellness Center brings much-needed primary healthcare to the residents of Newark’s South Ward.
On April 14, CGE joined South Ward Promise Neighborhood (SWPN), a community-based initiative of the BRICK Education Network, and Saint James Health South (SJH), a community health center, for the official opening of the South Ward Wellness Center.
This new community health center will provide high-quality, comprehensive primary care to residents of the South Ward — with a focus on expectant mothers. Their services will include adult medicine, pediatrics and prenatal services—and soon, CGE’s mental health and substance use disorder services will be offered there as well.
We are immensely proud of our growing partnership with St. James Health, where our behaviorist is currently embedded in the St. James’s West Ward site and another will soon join the South Ward team.
