Congressman Tom Kean, who represents New Jersey’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed concerns regarding a proposed Department of Homeland Security (DHS) processing facility and highlighted legislative achievements for small businesses in his district.
On April 7, 2026, Kean announced on social media that he had reached out to DHS leadership: “Today I wrote to @SecMullinDHS requesting a thorough review of the Department’s proposed processing facility in Roxbury Township. Local officials have raised concerns about the facility, and it is critical that the Department fully examine them and coordinate with local”. Later the same day, he followed up with another post sharing more information: “Read my letter: https://t.co/8sSfcOO3Px”.
On April 8, 2026, Kean turned his attention to economic issues facing his constituents. He wrote: “Our district is home to many small businesses. By passing the Working Families Tax Cuts, @HouseGOP delivered for them:
Restored 100% immediate expensing, so small businesses can fully deduct the cost of equipment and property the year they buy it
Made the 20% small business”.
