Congressman Tom Kean, who represents New Jersey’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, announced on December 11, 2025, that his Safer GAMING Act passed unanimously out of a subcommittee markup and will proceed to the full committee for consideration.

In a post published at 20:20 UTC on December 11, Kean stated: “My Safer GAMING Act passed unanimously out of today’s subcommittee markup and now heads to the full committee for consideration https://t.co/hDR25Qldrw”.

Later that day, Kean addressed local concerns regarding postal service disruptions. At 21:01 UTC he wrote: “My office is and has been actively engaged on the abrupt closure of the Milford Post Office in Hunterdon County. We are in constant communication with local mayors and county officials. Today, my staff met with senior USPS officials to press for answers and a swift remedy.”

Thomas Kean Jr., born in Livingston, New Jersey in 1968 and currently residing in Westfield, has served as representative of New Jersey’s 7th District since 2023 after succeeding Tom Malinowski. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in both the New Jersey General Assembly from 2001 to 2003 and the New Jersey Senate from 2008 to 2022. He holds a BA from Dartmouth College.
