Later that day, at 21:57 UTC, Kean shared another post regarding his meeting with members of the National Council of Jewish Women from New Jersey. The focus of their discussion was on advancing maternal health and supporting policies beneficial to women, children, and families. He stated: “Today, I met with several New Jersey members from the National Council of Jewish Women in my DC office. We had an important discussion on our shared commitment to advancing maternal health and well-being while also promoting policies that support women, children, and families”.

In a subsequent post at 22:16 UTC on May 20th, Kean announced that President Biden signed into law the TAKE IT DOWN Act—a legislation he cosponsored—aimed at tackling AI-generated deepfakes. Francesca Mani of Westfield played a crucial role in this legislative achievement after her experience being targeted by such technology spurred action for change. Kean’s tweet said: “The TAKE IT DOWN Act was officially signed into law by @POTUS. Francesca Mani of Westfield was instrumental in making this happen. After being targeted by AI-generated deepfakes, she turned a horrific experience into a powerful call for change.”

Thomas Kean Jr., born in Livingston in 1968 and residing in Westfield now holds an educational background from Dartmouth College with a BA degree.
