Congressman Tom Kean, who represents New Jersey’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to update constituents on health coverage policy efforts, student opportunities, and community outreach.

On September 5, 2025, Kean posted about ongoing bipartisan efforts to maintain affordable health insurance for Americans. He wrote, “Millions of Americans depend on premium tax credits to afford health coverage. Since 2021, these credits have made private insurance more accessible. I joined a bipartisan group to extend them for another year, preventing steep premium hikes while we work on long-term solutions”.

Later that day, Kean reminded students in his district about an opportunity to serve the country through military academies. In a tweet dated September 5, 2025, he stated: “A reminder to any #NJ07 student interested in serving our country, my office is currently accepting applications for Service Academy Nominations. The deadline to apply is October 17! Visit my website for more info: https://t.co/Ff7ayzc9WD https://t.co/xEO14jFyeN”.

On September 6, 2025, Kean highlighted his office’s presence at a local event and its commitment to constituent services. He posted: “Team Kean is at Olde Suckasunny Day in Roxbury until 3 PM! Stop by our booth to learn more about the constituent services our office provides. We have helped deliver over $56 million in casework relief, and we are here to help you too.”

Thomas Kean Jr., born in Livingston in 1968 and currently residing in Westfield, has represented New Jersey’s 7th district since replacing Tom Malinowski in Congress in 2023. Before his current role, he served both in the New Jersey General Assembly (2001-2003) and the State Senate (2008-2022). Kean holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College.
