On May 17, 2025, Congressman Kean announced his participation in Bernards Township Charter Day in Basking Ridge. In his post, he invited the public to learn more about the services offered by his office and emphasized his commitment to serving New Jersey’s Seventh District in Congress. “Team Kean is in Basking Ridge for Bernards Township Charter Day! Stop by to learn more about the constituent services my office offers and how I’m fighting for New Jersey’s Seventh District in Congress.”

Later that day, on Armed Forces Day, Congressman Kean extended his gratitude to service members from New Jersey’s Seventh District and nationwide. He acknowledged their dedication and sacrifice in defending American freedoms. “This Armed Forces Day, please join me in recognizing the brave service members from New Jersey’s Seventh District and across the country. On May 19, 2025, Congressman Kean recognized National Emergency Medical Services Week. He praised EMTs, paramedics, and medical first responders for their skilled response to emergencies both locally and nationally. “Yesterday marked the start of National Emergency Medical Services Week! I applaud all the EMTs, paramedics, and medical first responders across NJ-07 and the country for responding to emergencies with skill, speed, and compassion.”

Thomas Kean Jr., who succeeded Tom Malinowski as U.S. Congress member for New Jersey’s 7th district in 2023, has had a notable political career. He served in the New Jersey General Assembly from 2001 to 2003 before moving on to the New Jersey Senate from 2008 until 2022. Born in Livingston in 1968 and residing currently in Westfield, Kean is an alumnus of Dartmouth College.
