Congressman Tom Kean, who represents New Jersey’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on social media highlighting recent community engagements and policy positions.
On October 2, 2025, Kean shared his visit to a local treatment center: “Today, I visited the Center for Great Expectations (CGE), a transformative treatment center in Somerset. CGE is committed to breaking the cycle of abuse, homelessness, and substance use by providing comprehensive, dignified care for men, women, and children. I am grateful for https://t.co/ribSlVayzp”.
Later that evening, he recognized local law enforcement: “Last night, my office honored Lebanon Township Chief of Police Jason Cronce for his extraordinary heroism during an off-duty rescue this summer. In August, while off duty along the Delaware River, Chief Cronce saw a woman in distress during a tubing incident. Strong rapids https://t.co/SoTAcK8DxL”.
The following day on October 3, Kean addressed infrastructure concerns: “I strongly support the Hudson Gateway Tunnel project and am adamant that it be completed. Democrat leaders in New Jersey and New York need to stop playing senseless political games, which are threatening to result in real delays in construction. We need to do everything necessary”.
Thomas Kean Jr., born in Livingston in 1968 and currently residing in Westfield, has served as representative of New Jersey’s 7th district since 2023 after succeeding Tom Malinowski. Before his tenure in Congress, Kean served in both the New Jersey General Assembly from 2001 to 2003 and the State Senate from 2008 to 2022. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College.
