Congressman Tom Kean, who represents New Jersey’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted his legislative priorities and community engagement through a series of posts on social media.
On December 10, 2025, Kean addressed healthcare affordability for families in New Jersey. He stated, “I have made it clear that we must bring down health care costs for every family in New Jersey. That is why I joined the Bipartisan Health Insurance Affordability Act — it provides a two-party solution to prevent health insurance premium spikes in the ACA marketplace, while also” (December 10, 2025).
Later that day, Kean recognized Firefighter Mike Delgado for his long-standing service to the Basking Ridge Fire Company. In two separate posts made within an hour of each other, he wrote: “Firefighter Mike Delgado has devoted 50 years of volunteer service to the Basking Ridge Fire Company. Thomas Kean Jr., born in Livingston in 1968 and currently residing in Westfield at age 54, began serving New Jersey’s 7th district in Congress after succeeding Tom Malinowski in 2023. Before his current role in Congress, Kean served in both the New Jersey General Assembly from 2001 to 2003 and the New Jersey Senate from 2008 to 2022. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College.
