Congressman Tom Kean, who represents New Jersey’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed several topics on his social media account, including support for law enforcement, remembrance of the Holocaust, and an announcement of a student essay contest.
On April 13, 2026, Kean wrote: “I will always stand with our men and women in blue By investing in our law enforcement and emergency response infrastructure, we can keep communities across Warren County safe and strong.”
Later that evening, he posted about Yom HaShoah: “As Yom HaShoah begins this evening, we remember the six million Jewish men, women, and children murdered by the Nazis during the Holocaust. It is a solemn reminder to confront the evil of antisemitism wherever it arises and to ensure these atrocities are never repeated. We will” (April 13, 2026).
The following day, Kean announced an initiative aimed at students: “I am pleased to announce that my office is accepting submissions for a student essay contest celebrating America’s 250th anniversary New Jersey has a uniquely rich history and important stories to tell of our nation’s founding. With the theme ‘America’s Story Begins at” (April 14, 2026).
Thomas Kean Jr., born in Livingston in 1968 and currently residing in Westfield at age 54, has served as U.S. Representative since replacing Tom Malinowski in 2023. Before his current role in Congress, he served in both the New Jersey General Assembly from 2001 to 2003 and the New Jersey Senate from 2008 to 2022. He holds a BA from Dartmouth College.
