On June 5, 2025, Congressman Kean expressed gratitude for a visit to the NE Carpenters Training Center alongside Secretary LCD. In his post, he emphasized the importance of partnerships between labor, industry, and educators in training skilled workers. “ICYMI: Thank you to @SecretaryLCD for joining me on my visit to the NE Carpenters Training Center earlier this week. Strong partnerships between labor, industry & educators are helping train the next generation of skilled workers.”
Later that day, Kean shared his experience visiting South Branch Emergency Services in Clinton. He noted it was a positive encounter with Chief Frank Setnicky and Captain Michelle Gardner where they discussed recent emergency calls and new rescue equipment being utilized by the team. “I visited South Branch Emergency Services in Clinton last week. Its always good to see Chief Frank Setnicky, Captain Michelle Gardner, and some of the crew. We caught up about recent calls and the new rescue equipment they are using to save lives across the region.”
In another post on June 5th, Kean addressed tax policy issues affecting New Jersey residents by advocating for SALT relief within an upcoming Senate reconciliation package. He communicated this through a letter sent to Senators Booker and Kim urging their support for tax relief measures. “New Jerseyans deserve tax relief as a matter of fundamental fairness. I sent a letter today to @SenBooker and @SenatorAndyKim pressing them to support SALT relief in the upcoming Senate reconciliation package.”
Thomas Kean Jr., born in Livingston in 1968 and currently residing in Westfield, has been serving as U.S Congress member since 2023 after succeeding Tom Malinowski.
