Congressman Tom Kean, who represents New Jersey’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted several local and national initiatives through his social media posts.
On August 12, Kean shared his support for American manufacturers, writing, “When manufacturers win, America wins Last week, @RepLisaMcClain and I visited Bihler of America to discuss how Reconciliation delivers the certainty and tax reforms manufacturers need to drive our nation’s economic growth and innovation!” (August 12, 2025).
Later that day, he acknowledged a milestone for Social Security: “This August marks the 90th anniversary of Social Security, and to celebrate, Team Kean joined @AARP New Jersey in Fanwood for their anniversary event. I know how important it is to protect Social Security and Medicare—now and for future generations. That is why I will continue” (August 12, 2025).
The following day, Kean celebrated a new business opening in his district: “Exciting news for Flemington and Raritan Township—a brand-new @Target is opening its doors in town! At last night’s ribbon cutting, Team Kean joined Mayor Bob King, Hunterdon County Commissioners, and community members to celebrate how this new business will boost retail” (August 13, 2025).
Thomas Kean Jr., born in Livingston in 1968 and now residing in Westfield at age 54, has represented New Jersey’s 7th district since defeating Tom Malinowski in the 2022 election. Before joining Congress in 2023, he served both in the New Jersey General Assembly from 2001 to 2003 and the state Senate from 2008 to 2022.
