Congressman Tom Kean, who represents New Jersey’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on meetings with local leaders, pharmaceutical executives, and students through a series of posts on his social media account.
On December 3, 2025, Kean posted about a meeting in Washington: “I met with members of the Picatinny Enhancement Coalition in my DC office today to discuss the Arsenal’s critical role in our national defense. It was great to connect with local leaders, including NJ Senate Republican Leader Anthony Bucco, Morris County Commissioners, Wharton”.
The following day, December 4, Kean reported another meeting: “I met with Mark Soued, Senior VP and Head of U.S. for Alnylam Pharmaceuticals in my Washington, D.C. office yesterday. @Alnylam develops RNAi therapeutics that address the genetic causes of both rare and common diseases. We discussed my support for pharmaceutical innovation,”.
Later on December 4, Kean also described an interaction with young advocates: “I enjoyed speaking with students from Rahway and Plainfield today, who were on Capitol Hill advocating through the Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) program. JAG student leaders are part of a mission that helps young people nationwide complete high school, pursue higher”.
Thomas Kean Jr., born in Livingston in 1968 and currently residing in Westfield, has served as the representative for New Jersey’s 7th district since 2023 after succeeding Tom Malinowski. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in both the New Jersey General Assembly and State Senate over two decades. Kean is a graduate of Dartmouth College.
