On July 23, Kean posted about a discussion with Merck Human Health U.S. President Jannie Oosthuizen regarding the company’s research initiatives. Later that day, Kean highlighted his meeting with U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Scott Ruskan from New Jersey’s 7th district. Thomas Kean Jr., born in Livingston in 1968 and currently residing in Westfield, has represented New Jersey’s 7th congressional district since defeating Tom Malinowski in 2023. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of both the New Jersey General Assembly (2001-2003) and Senate (2008-2022). Kean holds a BA from Dartmouth College.
