Congressman Tom Kean, representing New Jersey’s 7th district, has recently shared insights and updates on his activities through a series of tweets. As a member of the U.S. Congress since 2023, Kean has been actively involved in various legislative matters and constituent services.
On June 5, 2025, Congressman Kean participated in a hearing with the House Foreign Affairs Committee. He stated, “At today’s @HouseForeignGOP hearing, I questioned witnesses on what the U.S. is doing to support peace between Israel and Syria.” He emphasized the importance of maintaining engagement in the region following the departure of former Syrian Dictator Bashar al-Assad from power.
The following day, June 6, 2025, Kean commemorated the anniversary of D-Day by acknowledging the efforts of Allied troops during World War II. He tweeted, “On the 81st anniversary of #DDay, we honor the courage and valor of the nearly 160,000 Allied troops who stormed the beaches of Normandy to fight tyranny and defend freedom.” He expressed gratitude towards World War II veterans and their families for their contributions to history.
In another tweet on June 6, 2025, Congressman Kean announced significant achievements by his office in serving constituents. He noted that “My office has officially returned over $20 million to residents across our district.” Since January 2023, his office has resolved more than 3,781 constituent cases involving federal agencies such as the VA, IRS, and Social Security Administration.
Thomas Kean Jr., born in Livingston in 1968 and currently residing in Westfield at age 54, has an extensive political background including service in both New Jersey’s General Assembly and Senate before joining Congress. A Dartmouth College graduate with a BA degree, he succeeded Tom Malinowski as representative for New Jersey’s 7th district.
