Congressman Tom Kean, who represents New Jersey’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of posts on social media highlighting his ongoing work and community engagement.
On May 5, Kean expressed support for individuals with special needs in his district, stating, “Honored to fight for the special needs community in #NJ07. Thank you, Sherry, for sharing your family’s story.”
The following day, during Military Appreciation Month, Kean posted a message recognizing military personnel and their families: “During Military Appreciation Month, we honor and thank the brave men and women who serve in our Armed Forces. Their sacrifices remind us that freedom is not free. To all our service members, veterans, and military families, we thank you for the immeasurable sacrifices you make” (May 6).
Later on May 6, Kean congratulated a local high school team for its achievements: “Congratulations to the Bridgewater-Raritan High School team for qualifying for the 2026 American Rocketry Challenge national finals! The BRHS team placed in the top 100 during a record-breaking year and will compete at the finals in Washington, D.C. on May 15. I am continually”.
Thomas Kean Jr., age 54 and a resident of Westfield who was born in Livingston in 1968, has served as U.S. Representative since replacing Tom Malinowski in 2023. He previously held positions in both the New Jersey General Assembly (2001-2003) and Senate (2008-2022). Kean is an alumnus of Dartmouth College.
