Congressman Tom Kean, who represents New Jersey’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to highlight legislative efforts and honor constituents and servicemembers.
On April 8, 2026, Kean posted about tax policy: “The Working Families Tax Cuts are helping people like Jennifer build financial security and save for retirement. No Tax on Overtime puts American workers FIRST”
A day later, on April 9, 2026, he announced an initiative related to rare diseases: “I recently introduced a resolution designating November 7 as Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome Awareness Day to shine a light on this rare genetic disorder. The idea came from Joyce, a constituent from Linden, who made clear this was a cause worth fighting for at the national level.”
Later that same day, Kean honored military personnel: “Today, we honor the courage and resilience of American servicemembers who endured captivity in service to our nation. These brave patriots withstood unimaginable suffering and separation from their loved ones to safeguard the freedoms we hold dear. Their sacrifice will never be”
Thomas Kean Jr., born in Livingston in 1968 and currently residing in Westfield, has served New Jersey’s 7th district since 2023 after replacing Tom Malinowski. He previously held positions in both the New Jersey General Assembly (2001-2003) and Senate (2008-2022). Kean is also an alumnus of Dartmouth College.
