Congressman Tom Kean, who represents New Jersey’s 7th district in the U.S. House of Representatives, has recently highlighted legislative efforts and community events through a series of social media posts.
On September 3, 2025, Kean wrote that “New Jersey taxpayers will save thousands thanks to the reconciliation bill we passed this summer. I fought for #NJ07 and I’m proud that residents in Morris, Somerset, Hunterdon & Union counties are projected to see some of the highest savings statewide”.
The following day, September 4, 2025, he shared an update about a meeting with Delta Dental of New Jersey’s leadership: “It was great to sit down with Paul Di Maio, President and CEO of Delta Dental of New Jersey, to discuss the state of the dental industry and ways to better serve patients across the Garden State. We spoke about legislation to expand access to dental insurance, the more than $26”.
Later on September 4, Kean recognized local law enforcement officers for their actions during an emergency: “While investigating a stolen vehicle in Newark, Summit Detective Sgt. Garita & Detective Sliker rescued a toddler from a burning home. I applaud these officers for their incredible act of bravery and dedication to protecting lives whenever called upon”.
Thomas Kean Jr., age 54 and a resident of Westfield who was born in Livingston in 1968, began serving as representative for New Jersey’s 7th district in Congress after replacing Tom Malinowski in 2023. Prior to his current role in Congress starting in 2023, Kean served in both the New Jersey General Assembly (2001-2003) and the New Jersey Senate (2008-2022). He holds a BA from Dartmouth College.
