Congressman Tom Kean, who represents New Jersey’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on his recent activities and policy positions through a series of tweets on November 3, 2025.
In one post from that day, Kean highlighted a visit to a local emergency medical service organization: “It was great to visit @WatchungEMS and recognize their 75 years of lifesaving service to the community. Day or night, these dedicated men and women volunteer their time to deliver critical care with compassion, professionalism, and courage. We discussed the challenges that many” (November 3, 2025).
Later that afternoon, Kean addressed the ongoing government shutdown and its effects on federal workers at airports: “Senate Democrats can end this madness today by joining Republicans to reopen the government. Thank you to the air traffic controllers and TSA agents who continue to show up to keep travelers safe. If you are traveling through Newark Airport, please keep in mind that there may be” (November 3, 2025).
In another tweet posted the same day, Kean reflected on his involvement with disability advocacy in New Jersey: “I joined the New Jersey Legislative Disability Caucus’ quarterly session to discuss the creation of the Ombudsman office seven years ago. This office supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. When I sponsored the legislation” (November 3, 2025).
Thomas Kean Jr., born in Livingston in 1968 and currently residing in Westfield, has represented New Jersey’s 7th district since taking office in Congress in 2023 after defeating Tom Malinowski.
