The campaign committee of Democratic Party candidate Tom Malinowski, Tom Malinowski for Congress, refunded $1,000 to Thomas Buttgenbach on Sept. 30, according to the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

FEC data shows the refunded expenditure was for: "Contribution refund to an individual, partnership or limited liability company."

Tom Malinowski for Congress has refunded $12,733 total since April 1.
