Somerset County 2022 Outstanding 4-Hers!

Megan has been involved in 4-H for 13 years and in that time she has been in New Centre Dairy, Branchburg Beef, Dairy & Livestock, Exchange, MasterChef’s, and the Cattlemen's club. When asked to describe the difference between an outstanding 4-H member and a good 4-H member, she described someone with a get up and go attitude, someone who goes above and beyond, and someone who welcomes everyone. Megan does just that. 

Club leaders can always count on Megan if they need help - no matter the task. She's always finding new friends and welcoming new people. Megan had the opportunity to travel to Michigan on a 4-H Exchange trip. There was a large group of NJ 4-H members coming from all different backgrounds with a lot of big personalities. While many people found clicks or a friend, Megan befriended everyone. Accepting them where they were, and making them feel like part of everything, and more importantly like her friend. It is her ability to make everyone feel important and feel a sense of belonging that distinguishes Megan as an Outstanding 4-H member.
