SCLSNJ is excited to be partnering with #GrowwithGoogle to offer scholarships to System Card holders (18+) for the Google’s Career Certificate program as part of the Grow with Google Partner Program.

The Certificates equip people with job-ready skills in high-growth fields of Data Analytics, Digital Marketing and Ecommerce,  IT Support, Project Management, and UX Design. The online program can be completed in three to six months of part-time study—with no degree or experience required. After finishing the program, graduates are connected with an employer consortium of over 150 companies— including Deloitte, Ford, Verizon, Walmart, and Google—that consider them for relevant roles.

“According to the National Skills Coalition, ‘nearly one in three workers lack foundational digital skills’,” said Cathy DeBerry, branch manager. “SCLSNJ’s ongoing commitment to the digital literacy needs of our library customers is evident in many of its resources and initiatives. The public’s attainment of twenty-first century digital literacy skills is imperative in a fast-moving global economy and essential to workforce readiness. Partnerships – like the one with Grow with Google – will help SCLSNJ residents be job ready.”
