Census Bureau: 78.2% of people in Somerset County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 343,950 citizens living in Somerset County in 2021, 78.2% were old enough to vote, equating to 268,807 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 130,561 were male, constituting 48.6%, and 138,246 were female, making up 51.4%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Somerset County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 77.9%.
