(May 20, 2023) Washington, D.C. – Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07), Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Europe, issued the following statement after the Russian Foreign Ministry announced new sanctions against Kean, fellow Members of Congress, government officials, business leaders, and others, banning them from entering Russia:
“I was sanctioned by Russia this week because I support Ukraine in their fight for freedom. Putin has proven that he has no regard for civility, freedom, or human life. I will continue my strong support for Ukraine to drive Putin’s forces out.” - Congressman Tom Kean, Jr.
