(May 30, 2023) Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tom Kean Jr., in collaboration with Mayor Derek Armstead, local businesses and community organizations, hosted a job fair in Linden, New Jersey on May 20th. Held at the John T. Gregorio Recreation Center, the event provided a unique opportunity for job seekers to connect with a diverse range of employers and explore potential career paths. Employers participating included Atlantic Health System, Linden Public Schools, building trades, and more.

With a mission to address unemployment and foster economic growth in the region, Congressman Kean brought together 15 employers from various industries, offering a wide array of job opportunities to the residents of Linden and the surrounding areas. The event was attended by dozens of locals seeking employment and professional advancement.

"I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to host this job fair in Linden," said Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. "It was a tremendous success, bringing together our homegrown talent and employers who are actively expanding their footprint in our communities."

"The job fair was a great success and I want to thank Pamela Jones, CEO of Communities in Cooperation forhelping organize,” said Mayor Derek Armstead. “I especially want to thank Congressman Kean for partnering, making this a bipartisan Federal-Municipal venture."

“With the diverse employment opportunities in one room and the ability to meet with employers face-to-face, produced a powerful benefit for jobseekers that they wouldn’t have experienced otherwise, said Dr. Pamela Jones. “Kudos to Mayor Armstead and Congressman Kean for a shared focus to serve people who are trying to support their families!”
