On June 10, 2024, Congressman Tom Kean Jr. (NJ-07) presented a $3,300,000 ceremonial check for the Stanhope Water Tower Installation project, funded by the FY2024 Community Project Funding process. This initiative aims to upgrade the water tower in Stanhope to enhance the municipal water supply and better safeguard residents.

“This $3.3 million-dollar federal grant secured for Stanhope is a vital investment for the Gateway to Sussex County,” said Congressman Kean. “As a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I will continue to prioritize critical infrastructure improvements for New Jerseyans. I remain committed to prioritizing the safety and security of our local families and neighborhoods across the 7th Congressional District.”

Gene Wronko, Mayor of Stanhope, expressed gratitude: “On behalf of the Stanhope community, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Congressman Kean for his steadfast support and dedication. His efforts in securing federal support for the improvement of our water system are invaluable. Congressman Kean has secured $24 million in Community Project Funding for fiscal year 2024.
