Congressman Tom Kean honors community members and serves as Speaker Pro Tempore

Congressman Tom Kean, currently representing New Jersey's 7th district in the U.S. Congress, has shared a series of tweets highlighting his recent activities and engagements. These posts reflect his commitment to honoring individuals and participating actively in legislative duties.

On November 20, 2024, Congressman Kean addressed the House floor to honor Suzan "Suzie" Marie Hanna, a resident of Bridgewater who tragically passed away due to carbon monoxide poisoning following Hurricane Ida's devastating floods. He expressed his condolences and announced the introduction of a resolution in her memory. "Today, I spoke on the House floor to remember and honor Suzan 'Suzie' Marie Hanna, a beloved Bridgewater resident who tragically lost her life to carbon monoxide poisoning after the devastating floods caused by Hurricane Ida."

On November 22, 2024, Kean shared that he had presided over the House floor as Speaker Pro Tempore. This role allowed him to contribute significantly to legislative proceedings. "It was an honor to preside over the House floor as Speaker Pro Tempore."

Later on the same day, Congressman Kean noted that Team Kean presented Joseph Fazio, Commander of American Legion Post 188, with a flag flown over the Capitol. This gesture was made in recognition of Fazio's dedication and service. "Team Kean was honored to present American Legion Post 188 Commander Joseph Fazio with a flag flown over the Capitol."
