Today, Congressman Tom Kean Jr. from New Jersey's 7th District expressed his discontent with a recent federal court decision that allows Congestion Pricing to proceed.
Kean criticized the ruling, stating, “Last night’s federal court ruling that permits Congestion Pricing to move forward is disappointing and unacceptable." He argued that the program is "fundamentally flawed and inequitable," claiming it unfairly impacts New Jersey residents.
The Congressman emphasized the financial strain on families in New Jersey, who already face high taxes and inflation. "The burden this places on families who already pay some of the highest taxes in the nation coupled with crushing inflation is not fair or acceptable," he said. Kean voiced his support for his constituents' frustration, adding, "I stand with my constituents who are rightfully angry with this decision."
