On January 28, 2025, Congressman Tom Kean Jr. of New Jersey's 7th District issued a statement following the White House's explanation regarding drones flying over New Jersey.

Kean expressed gratitude to President Trump and his administration for their transparency on the matter. He emphasized the importance of public access to information, particularly concerning national security and public safety issues affecting his constituents.

Despite the information provided by the administration, Kean highlighted that numerous questions remain unanswered. He noted that thousands of his constituents reached out to express their concerns about the drones' presence, which raised significant issues related to community safety, airspace security, and law enforcement.

Kean also questioned why this issue was not fully addressed or disclosed by the previous administration when it initially arose. He inquired about why reports were not shared earlier and what measures were taken during those early stages to protect citizens in New Jersey and across the nation.

"The people of New Jersey deserve answers," Kean stated, pledging to continue seeking accountability to ensure that citizens' rights and security are protected.
