Congressman Tom Kean Jr. of New Jersey's 7th Congressional District has announced an opportunity for a Veteran, Gold Star family member, or Active-Duty spouse to join his office as part of the Green & Gold Congressional Aide Program. This paid position is set for two years and involves serving as a district representative. The role includes attending local veteran events and meetings on behalf of Congressman Kean and acting as a liaison between constituents and government agencies like the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense.
The Green & Gold Congressional Aide Program aims to provide eligible individuals with employment opportunities within the U.S. House of Representatives, offering hands-on experience and professional exposure to enhance career prospects.

Candidates must meet specific criteria outlined by G&G CAP. Veterans must have been honorably discharged, released from active duty within the last six years, and at pay grades at or below E-5/O-3/W-2. Veterans receiving a 20-year or Temporary Early Retirement Authority retirement are not eligible.
Gold Star Family applicants must be surviving spouses, children/step-children, parents/step-parents, or siblings/step-siblings of veterans who died in the line of duty while serving in the Armed Forces or from a service-connected disability.
Active-Duty Spouses applying must be married to an Active-Duty service member working full-time for the military. Those subject to Title X mobilization are not eligible.
