Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. has announced the start of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition, inviting high school students from New Jersey’s Seventh Congressional District to participate. The competition is open to students in grades 9 through 12, with a submission deadline set for 5 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025.

"I am thrilled to invite high school students from the Seventh District to participate in this year’s Congressional Art Competition," Congressman Kean stated. "This longstanding tradition offers young artists an opportunity to showcase their talent on a national platform. Each year, I am impressed by the creativity of our students, and I look forward to seeing the incredible artwork they submit."

The submitted artworks will be evaluated by a professional panel. A single winner from New Jersey's Seventh Congressional District will have their work displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year. Additionally, the winner will be invited to Washington D.C. in June for an Art Competition Celebration event recognizing their artistic accomplishment.

Two runner-up artworks will also be selected for display in Representative Kean's offices in Washington D.C. and New Jersey. All participants are invited to present their submissions at a Recognition Event scheduled for May.

To enter the competition, artwork must be submitted digitally as a high-resolution photo saved as a PDF attachment, accompanied by a completed student information and release form.
