This week is Direct Support Professional Recognition Week. The work day of a DSP in service to consumers of our agency and many like it can lead them to occasions of celebration, loss, critical doctor appointments, work triumphs, disappointments, after dinner game nights, personal care, and every emotion and task that may accompany these times. DSPs work alongside those we support, within the movement of their lives, at the speed of their lives. This week we pause especially to acknowledge this critical and rare occupation and thank those who do it. Thank you, DSPs.
